Integration between D365 OnPremise and Dynamics CRM Cloud

    1. Data Integration using Microsoft's Integration Tools

    • Azure Data Factory:

      • Use the "Self-hosted Integration Runtime" to securely connect to your on-premise D365 data sources.
      • Build data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data between on-premise and cloud environments.
      • Utilize connectors for Dynamics 365 and other data sources (e.g., SQL Server, file systems).
      • Schedule and monitor data flows using Azure Data Factory's orchestration capabilities.
    • Logic Apps:

      • Create workflows to trigger actions and data exchanges based on specific events or conditions.
      • Use connectors for Dynamics 365, on-premise data gateways, and other cloud services.
      • Build complex integration scenarios with branching, looping, and error handling.
    • Power Automate:

      • Design simpler automation flows to streamline routine tasks and data transfers.
      • Use pre-built connectors or create custom connectors for specific needs.
      • Trigger flows based on events in Dynamics 365 or other systems.

    2. Custom Integration using APIs and Web Services

    • Dynamics 365 Web API:

      • Use the Web API to interact with both on-premise and cloud Dynamics 365 environments.
      • Leverage OData (Open Data Protocol) for querying and manipulating data.
      • Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms for secure access.
    • Azure Functions:

      • Build serverless functions to handle integration logic, data transformations, and API calls.
      • Trigger functions based on events from Dynamics 365, Service Bus, or other sources.
      • Scale automatically to handle varying loads.
    • Azure Service Bus:

      • Use queues or topics to enable reliable messaging between on-premise and cloud systems.
      • Ensure message delivery even in the event of temporary outages or network issues.

    3. Hybrid Integration Platforms (HIP)

    • Azure Integration Services:

      • Explore connectors for Dynamics 365 and other systems within your landscape.
      • Design and manage integration flows using a visual interface.
      • Monitor integration health and performance through dashboards.
    • Third-party HIPs:

      • Evaluate different vendors based on features, pricing, and compatibility with your systems.
      • Consider factors like ease of use, scalability, and support.

Integration between D365 OnPremise and Dynamics CRM Cloud
I guess that you probably solved this long ago SVRR, but coming across your post, I just wanted to leave a note for future readers that one thing you have to be careful with are the existing integrations with your On Premise D365.

    Thank you,

RE: Integration between D365 OnPremise and Dynamics CRM Cloud

In a perfect world, the migration from Microsoft Dynamics CRM on-premises to Dynamics 365 online would easily include the existing integrations to Microsoft Dynamics CRM on-premises. This should be even simpler in case you already had D365 and wanted to go fort a Dynamics 365 on premise to cloud migration. Read More here. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Cloud Vs On-Premise Comparison.

RE: Integration between D365 OnPremise and Dynamics CRM Cloud

    Hello,

You could use one of the third party tool for your integration -

    www.kingswaysoft.com/.../ssis-integration-toolkit-for-microsoft-dynamics-365

From On-premise to cloud integration you can create app in azure app registration and create application user in crm then assign role. Now use this user to connect to cloud from your integration project c#.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../walkthrough-register-app-azure-active-directory

You can use Web API OR Organization service to interact with CRM -

    docs.microsoft.com/.../overview

    docs.microsoft.com/.../overview

From Cloud to On-premise CRM instegration you will have to enable IFD on your crm instance so that it can reached from internet.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../configure-the-dynamics-365-server-for-ifd

You could also use power automate to connect to your on-premise sql using Onpremise Data gateway

    docs.microsoft.com/.../gateway-reference
