Update AX 2012 R3 client to CU8

We have about 30 AX 2012 R3 clients that we need to update to CU8.

The install guide step 1 says: "On any AOS, client, or database computer in the environment, run the Update installer (AXUpdate), and accept the license terms."

The CU8 installation takes about 50 minutes to download or 10 minutes to load the package.axupdate file. After loading this file, we just select kernel update for the client.

Is there a faster update proccess??. It's quite disturbing to spend 15 minutes just for a client update.

    The option provided by Douglas to download the latest kernel binaries will be a good solution. You can use the next link to view the latest available kernel versions.

    The latest build is compatible for CU8.

    Sorry I'm not sure if this will work if the client hasn't seen anything from CU8 already.

    You need the ReportViewer2012.

    Maybe its better to remove the complete exisitng client/components and reinstall from a slimstreamed CU8 dvd.

    Hi,

    do you need the exact CU8 version? Maybe try some newer Kernel Updates (Binary only KBs ) these contain a complete axupdate package. So you can install these thing very fast.
