RE: Microsoft investing heavily in Business Central?
Hi
I have worked with both NetSuite and BC. In addition, I have worked with Oracle Cloud (which is not Oracle Suite). In realty both Oracle and Microsoft are heavily invested in these products. Search for "Gartner magic quadrant ERP" and see how Microsoft position is changing in this quadrant since 2019. It shows Microsoft investment here.
The only difference between NetSuite and Microsoft (from development standpoint) is the package. Since MS has Azure, Power BI, Office , Power Automation, etc it works toward making BC works seamlessly with all these products. Instead Oracle does not have such a broad range of products.
On the other hand since BC is "brand new" to cloud someone may find NetSuite with more options and user friendly. This is because NetSuite has been cloud software for longer period of time.
Hence, you could not go wrong with either of them. But if you are heavily invested in Microsoft products you get a better use from BC than NetSuite. In addition, user adoption for BC is faster than NetSuite for Microsoft users.
My suggestion is to deeply valuate both products and see which one is closer to your company need and has higher acceptant rate between your users.
A few personal notes: 1) I know BC licenses are less costly than NetSuite 2) I know BC developments cost are less than NetSuite 3) I know some cool functions of NetSuite (such as global search) is missing in BC. 4) sometimes I have a personal favor toward NetSuite and sometimes BC makes more sense. 5) to me looks like NetSuite is more stable but BC is looks like more evolving product.
