Dynamics CE - test automation broken by recent changes

Hi

we have lots of automated tests in Selenium with xpath locators such as //*[@title='Primary Contact'] or aria-label.

There appears to be a recent change, presumably pushed by Microsoft - now not seeing many of the previous attributes like 'aria-label' or 'title', meaning that many of the scripts are broken.
Has anyone else got this issue? What's the reason for the change, since I assume it also impacts accessibility devices like screen readers?

Many thanks
Dan

Not surprising.  Microsoft has never suggested support for DOM references; Selenium always breaks down on CE &c -- IIRC

Would it be sustainable to use data-testid as the basis for a locator strategy? Does anyone have an informed view on this please?
As per this and similar posts, the presence of data-testid seems to give confidence that it's going to be supported but difficult to find a definitive answer. Also, why remove aria-label attributes?

I haven't used it yet but you could have a look how D365 EasyRepro gets the elements, maybe it helps
