Hi,

In Entity List, we have one view action configuration known as "download" which downloads data of entity list in excel file. I have renamed it as "Export to Excel".

When we are downloading the data, it will download the data from all the columns shown on portal in the list.

Requirement - Can we dynamically select columns while downloading the list data i.e. if I want to download some specific columns from the entity list. Will that be possible?

I have the same question (0)

Hello, I recommend you to create an Advanced Find, check this link: www.crmcs.co.uk/.../how-to-use-the-advanced-find-in-dynamics.aspx

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.

But as a portal user, I am not allowed to use advanced find. Is there a way I can dynamically select columns while downloading data from entity list from portal only.

We highly recommend users to migrate to PowerUsers community for new Portal questions:

    powerusers.microsoft.com/.../PowerAppsPortals

Hi, when exporting the data from an entity list, the Portals will always export all columns from the list

you can't really remove any columns.. I normally have the opposite requirement, allowing the users to export more columns than displayed on the page.. you can achieve this by adding the columns and hide via JS.. when exporting, they will still be in the excel file

another option you can do is exporting / printing via PDF, you can manipulate via JS the list before it gets printed: oliverrodrigues365.com/.../
