Can we complete TMS process without wave and work?

Hi All,

Is it possible to complete the TMS process without wave and work? if the client is not using WMS (may be basics) can we still implement TMS?

this is because after i complete Rate-Route workbench step, system is asking wave and work. can i skip this and complete packing slip with freight charges allocated to SO?

Hello Arjun,

Yes.

WMS requires both warehouse and items to be enabled for warehouse management processes.

TMS without WMS still require warehouses to be enabled for Warehouse management process, but the items only need to be enabled for Transportation Management (see below). So the items can be assigend to a Storage Dimension Group that is not enabled for WM processes yet enabled for TM processes. With the shipping warehouse inabled for WM process, you will have access to Load Planning workbench ect for these items with no Work or Wave required.
