balance setup

Dear NAV-Experts,

we use 2009 RTC since beginning of this year.

Now I tried to setup the balance sheet and income statement

Using the Option:

"Not show this line if all columns are zero"

works fine, as long as I print the balance sheet from classic client but if I try to print from RTC, all lines are printed - also the ones I intend to skip???

Why are there still that many stupid bugs in 2009 RTC???

*grmpfh*

Regards
Christian

    Chris,

Thank you for the feedback. Just to update you, we are very heavily engaged in updating the RTC and getting the fixes out there. I know having to go through many KB's is not easy. For platform issues, the latest hotfix is always cumulative though, so for any platform type issues, just make sure you get to NAV 2009 R2 and get the latest Platform hotfix, and you will have all fixes which is very easy to install as long as you are already on NAV 2009 SP1 or R2. For code fixes it does get more troublesome as the RTC has been out for some time now, and there are a number of fixes out there. These will all be included in the next release of course of NAV 2013 due out later this year. That is the same release that the Classic Client is being removed from, and so we really want the RTC to be a good user experience so please let us know of any new issues you find and if you have suggestions, please let your partner know to put them on the MS Connect site for consideration. Thank you for the feedback, i certainly hope that we can improve on the acceptance rate at your company for the RTC, I believe you will see the commitment to it when you get the fixes needed and also when you take a look at NAV 2013.

    Christian,

There have been a few report issues with the Underline, Double Underline, and Not show if columns are zero options. I looked for a KB, but none specicif to your issue. We however have code you can get to correct the issues already on other reports, so your Income statement and balance sheet are similar i am sure. I would suggest to open a support case to get the code sent to you. This would be a no charge case since it is a 'bug' in the RDLC reports. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Nick
