    Hi ahmed.kimo,

The straight line service life option calculates the depreciation based on the total service life of the fixed asset.

The straight line remaining life option calculates the depreciation based on the remaining depreciation periods that you specify in the value model, which is important when you migrate already depreciated fixed assets from prior systems.

    Best regards,

when the migration happening which is the recommended approach  between straight line service life and straight line service life remaining  methods as there will be new fixed assets procurement also in place where we cannot change the Depreciation profile every time.
