Hi All,
I have a couple of queries here:
1. Can I get my Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0 licenses renewed? Can I purchase more licenses if needed now?
2. What are the Risks that I should consider in holding the same ERP for the next 5 years?

Some additional notes:
Next to using the system, there are some risks related to the operating system and SQL. Older versions of Windows and SQL Server are also not supported anymore. Leaks will not be fixed by Microsoft. An option would be updating the OS and SQL, but the combination then not supported. However it might work...

Licensing questions are difficult to answer without having a very detailed picture of your system, users, etc. To get a definite answer, I would recommend that you go into contact with the MS support team and/or licensing experts directly. They should be able to give you a very detailed and clear answer to your licensing questions.

Hi Pradeep,
Ax4 is out of the main support and a pretty much outdated version. Yet, nobody can force you to stop using this system. However, there are a number of disadvantages using AX4 incl the missing support, outdated features, the necessity to modify the system yourself if regulatory changes are announced, etc.
