I am about to start to create reports through financial report designer (D365 Finance and operation)
My reports will contain columns with figures from budget planning (this yearly budget, budget previous year, and a lot of different versions of forecast), Figures from different budget plans displayed in different columns.
My question is what is best practice, how to name the budgetplans so I dont have to update all my reports when it is a new year and new budget (new budgetplan name)?

Hello Petra,
Most likely you are going to have to update the Column Definitions every year. As an example, you have your 2021 budget which ever name you give it. That name can only be used once in D365. Typically each budgeting season when the new budgets are created, part of the process is then to manually update the Column Definitions in Financial Reporter.
