NAV 2018 Licensing vs High Availability SQL Server

Posted on by 10

Hello,

An idea came about about doing high-availability on SQL 2017 for NAV 2018 between two servers and have a third as a read-only DB.

A team member mentioned that there could be a NAV 2018 license compliance issue. The statement that was told to me by our var about licensing is, "One NAV license can only be utilized for one production environment.".

To me, my scenario below counts as one production environment. One company, one database but replicating across three machines.

Does anyone have any concrete information regarding NAV licensing in this scenario?

Thanks in advance.
