AX2012 R3 Problem with replenishment of a fixed location from itself

I have an item set up with a fixed location (03-02-01) that uses a minimum/maximum replenishment template for replenish only fixed locations. (Assume the minimum is 10 and the maximum is 40).

I have a Replenish > Pick location directive where "split" is checked and the Action query is for all locations where on hand > 0. (Per another post I read I have no Put directive since I am using min/max).

My on hand inventory is 9 on location 03-02-01 and 29 in location 03-02-03.

When work is created I am getting a Pick for 9 from 03-02-01 and 22 from 03-02-03 with a Put of 31 to 03-02-01.

How do I prevent replenishment from picking from the location that is being replenished? (I tried adding the fixed location to the directive action but can't seem to get to that table).

Thanks

Dan

    Hi Dan,

The locations that the replenishment can use to Pick from are determined by the Location Directive Action on the Replenishment Location Directive. You need to tell the Location Directive Action which locations you would like it to use (and, therefore, which locations it can't use).

Presumably there is something in the setup of the locations in your warehouse which distinguishes Picking locations from other types of locations, like a different Location profile, or Zone.

On the 'Edit query' button on the Location Directive Action, create a Query which will identify all of the locations which you are happy to replenish from. For example,

Table = Locations, Field = Location profile ID, Criteria = BULK

If you haven't setup the locations with any distinguishing properties, you could name individual locations on the query, but I would not expect to see this for normal Bulk/Buffer -> Picking type replenishment.

Thank you. Guess that was obvious after I looked at it.
