Quantity on Hand shows 79 but I could not fetch relevant Item Ledger Entry in Business Central

Hi Team,

Good morning.

Today I came across a scenario where for an item card, it shows below value.

Quantity on Hand : 79.

However, I could not trace a item ledger entry for that quantity. Also, in the ILE screen, there are no 'open' entries and the remaining quantity is zero for all lines.

Please provide your assistance to figure this out.

Hello,

I checked BC SaaS and it seems like Qty on Hand is not a standard field on the Item Card.

You can also check it clicking Ctrl + Alt + F1 what will open page inspection and there you can try to find your field.

However, you can check your Purchase Orders which are not shipped yet, because in that case, you will have listed the quantity of the item, but there does not need to be an item ledger entry that is generated for, it because it is not shipped yet. Something like standard filed Qty. on Purch. Order.

Thanks for your prompt response.

I could see the same count in 'Inventory Valuation Report' as it shows in 'Quantity on Hand' field of that item.

If it shows purch. order quantity then why it is showing it on the inventory valuation report. Please clarify.

The Inventory field in versions other than W1, such as the US version, is Quantity on Hand.

Hi, Jaunt

This field is a Flowfield, and except for Flowfilter, it is just the total of the Quantity in the Item Ledger Entries. There is no 'open' for filtering. Maybe that's the problem.

Will the item ledger entry should show the remaining quantity at least? Because the remaining quantity for all purchase entries shows zero as value.

Hello Jaunt,

The remaining quantities could be from the Sales entries due to returns or journal entries.

On the item ledger entry, you can try this filter and see if the total is equal to the 'Quantity on Hand' field.

I have checked the item ledger entries for the same item, and I do not see any item ledger entry with the remaining quantity.

Is there any other way so that I can find it out?

Hello,

Can we use the BC analyse mode instead of excel? The Excel shows you are looking at the 'Completely Invoiced' column.

Below is an example of my Analyze mode.
