If you can't find it, open a support case and we can get you the install media needed, then void the case as non-technical.  I have the BP 5.1 SP3 media and a couple others.

I'm curious as to why Business Portal is still being used, as beginning with Dynamics GP 2013 R2, most of the functionality in Business Portal as well as the Workflow on SharePoint was created within the Dynamics GP application itself, so you could do most of the same work, just without needing extra technology like SharePoint, etc.

I also usually mention to customers using Business Portal that, while the GP version may still be supported, i.e. GP 2013, most likely the version of SQL Server and SharePoint, if not Windows that BP is running on, have most likely reach end of support thus if it is a production environment, it's not safe to have, as you wouldn't be able to get support should a SQL or SharePoint issue arise.

Just mentioning that, I know each customer has their own reasons for usage.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks

Hi! Thanks for the answer. Yes, most of the Business Portal functionality was introduced in Dynamics GP 2015 directly. But I need the that version in specific to check an old backup for an information. I was trying to access that information using Business Portal 6.0, and even the 6.1, and it gives me a lot of errors. So... my last "solution/test" is installing the original version of that backup, the 5.1.

The issue you may run into, is that BP has a MBFInstalledDatabases table, which acts similar to the DB_Upgrade table with version information for each GP database and module.

If the install of BP you have doesn't match that, you may run into version errors and others. Just FYI......

What information are you trying to look at?  All BP information is primarily in the GP databases, for example Requisition Management has ReqMgmt...... tables and similar to other modules like Project and HRM.

    Thanks

Yes, I know that all information is there, but we are trying to figure out the work (transactions) that an specific user did in that moment, and is kinda hard to match the Requisitions, Approvals, Purchase Orders and all that stuff just by watching the Database.

    Hi Pedro,

What exact information are you trying to find out ? if you have a backup of the GP system database, I might be able to assist. I've been using the BP 5 for many years with GP 2010 & 2013 until it got retired.

Understanding this, what version is your MBFInstalledDatabases table showing, in the DYNAMICS system database?

I ask because, similar to Dynamics GP itself, if you install Business Portal application that is not at the exact version/build that your databases are showing as, it's either going to prompt you to upgrade and, as we all know, Business Portal may not upgrade well, or it'll throw a version error if your BP code is older than what the databases are on.....so, when you say you need BP media with the latest service pack, it may help to know the actual version/build mentioned in this table.

    Thanks

Yes, 4.0.2475 is actually SP2 for Business Portal for Dynamics GP 10.0.

BP 5.1 would be for GP 2010 and then BP 6.0/6.1 would be for GP 2013.

Open a support case asking for the BP media, you can even put my name on it. I have BP 5.1 media I can give you, unless someone else has media they can provide as well.

    Thanks
