Outbound Marketing and Real-time marketing interactions database and way to extract (to e.g. PowerBI)

Posted on by 641

Hey,

I have a question regarding interaction data from realtime and outbound marketing.

  • Where is the interaction data stored in Outbound Marketing and Realtime Marketing respectively? I had read OBM stores in an Azure Blob Storage and RTM stores in an Azure Data Lake is that correct?

How can the interaction data from the databases then be extracted into PowerBI for visualization? I have read that there are also differences in approach here?

Especially for realtime-marketing I had a hard time finding any informations about the storage of interaction data and the possibilities to extract them.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi Mario,

Yes, OBM stores in an Azure Blob Storage and RTM stores in an Azure Data Lake.

There are also differences in get interaction data from OBM and RTM.

We can use Power BI to get OBM's interaction data, here is a reference link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ebg0ePiaUU

We can create custom interactions reporting to get data, which is stored in real-time marketing, you can also refer to this link: Export of marketing interactions in real-time marketing - Dynamics 365 Marketing Forum Community Forum

    Best Regards,
