Change display order of retail channels in the Organization Hierarchy

I've added 100+ retail channels to my organization hierarchy but would like to change the order in which they are displayed in the hierarchy. Normally, in D365 category hierarchies there's a display order function next to category nodes but I don't see this feature available for organization hierarchies. Does anyone know how to modify the order out of the box? Or can someone explain how the order is determined in D365? Looks like it might be by global party ID, but wasn't able to find conclusive documentation on it.

    The order is by default based on the Operating Unit number of the internal organizations. There is no configuration option in the application to change the order.

    There is currently no such standard feature that works out of the box, you can customize the way you develop to meet your needs. If you don't have a developer, you can enlist the help of a Microsoft partner who will provide you with customized services: Find the right app | Microsoft AppSource.
