Hi all,

I have created new table called EmpDepartment Table . In this table i have Four fields EmpId,Department Name, Total Number of Hours Worked, Date

I add this table to  my perspectives and assigned Attributes and Measures for this table.

Attributes - EmpId,Department Name, Date

Measures - Total Number of Hours Worked

Then I created new SSAS project and Project generation is also success and when I am trying to deploy the Project .

"Perspectives not found " error occurs.

Can new tables can be used in cubes ???

Can one anyone help me on this .

Can you open Analisys Server in SQL Server Enterprise Manager and check if the cube was deployed properly ?

Did you executed "Analisys Services Project Wizard" in AX do deploy the Cube ? If isn't in Analisys Services, then you must deploy it

First off, make sure the Usage property on your perspective is set to OLAP.  If that property is not set, generate will just give you an empty project, which might be why it can't be deployed.

It's not clear if you are adding a new table to an existing perspective -- which would mean you are trying to modify an existing analysis services database,  or if you are adding a completely new perspective, which would create a separate analysis services database.

If you are trying to modify an existing analysis services database, then use the update option in the cube wizard rather than the generate option.  That should combine your changes into the exiting cube project.

If you keep getting that deploy error, find the analysis services project you generated or updated in aot and choose edit to save it to disk.  Then try deploying the project from sql data tools, which tends to give clearer error information for cases where the project can't be parsed for some reason.
