Displaying historic Work Order Information in Field Service Mobile

Hi

Engineers working on a Work Order want to see details of other work orders for the same Asset. These tend to be previously completed Work Orders but could also be open Work Orders which haven't been booked to them. As already mentioned by Richard Dayman back in 2017 this could perhaps be done via changing the synch filter but this would probably cause an issue with the amount of data traffic. Has anyone found another solution to this?

    Advanced Settings>Settings>Mobile CRM>Woodford>Mobile CRM HTML5

Drill down to your project and then look under Offline HTML.

Many Thanks Morten/Scott. I thought this would be an issue to just get the Work Orders that relate to Assets that are the primary asset for the  bookings currently booked to the engineer. I'll give it a go.

Yes - you need to alter the sync filter for Work Order (and corresponding WO Incidents, WO Service Tasks, WO Products, WO Services) based on the customer asset.

I have done this many times.  Yes, it will result in more data, but it's typically marginal.  You just need to setup the sync filter so it brings it down for the work orders you're working on for the period you want (example:  today).

    Hi

I have done this in several projects and it is not an issue with data traffic. It is very important info for a tech onsite.

    1) Work Orders must be available "offline". This means they will only be synced once and after that only when changed.

    2) Only sync Work Orders associated to Assets associated to Work Orders this particular technicians are going to carry out.

... but you need to change "Sync filters" in "Woodford" - remember "Work Order Services", "Work Orders Incidents", "Work Order Products" if this is important info for tech.

Yes it would mean that you would have to sync more work orders to the mobile device.

I suppose it depends what data they need to see on those work orders? Why do they want to see these past work orders?
