Upgrade D365 8.2 (on-premise) to D365 9.1 authentication requirement

I have a system D365 8.2 that configure to use Windows Authentication (Active Directory users). Now I have a request to upgrade/install D365 9.1.

1. Can I upgrade/install new server D365 9.1 and reuse existing AD for Windows Authentication or any change/update for AD server ? 

2. I have found reference at below, Do I need to implement claims-based authentication require for D365 9.1?

    Yes you can install a new D365 v9.1 server and use your existing AD.

    You do not need to use Claims for internal access to Dynamics organizations however if you plan on Internet Facing Deployment and using ADFS then it would require Claims
