Help-Server.jpgI'm getting an error on several different NAV 2017 installations when attempting to use the search in the Help Service.  An interesting note is that the word "seach" is misspelled in the message as well as "occured".

    Sorry, IIS restart didn't help.

No, I haven't solved this.  It's happening on several systems, perhaps all...

    Hi All,

Did you try to enable the search service on the server ?

It is accessible from the server administration "Add Roles and Features".

Search is a prerequisite.  Yes, it is enabled.

    Hi all,

I had the same issue on Windows 2016 servers as well.  It wasn't enough to have "Windows Search" running in Services, I needed to enable it like this as well.  Then, after restarting the IIS after that it finally worked!

Just for the record, in case you still have some issues, I also re-installed the HelpServer from NAV 2017 CU14.

I ended up having to add the NAV help folder to Indexing Options

We finally solved this issue.  I ended up having to add the NAV help folder to the Included Locations list of "Indexing Options" in the Control Panel.  After adding the folder I rebuilt the index for good measure, but am not sure if it was necessary.
