Email Notifications Not Working - Version 13.5.29483.0

Hi we've noticed an issue where since our D365 Business Central Production instance was upgraded on the 4th April, email notifications aren't working anymore

Someone in our Finance team should get an email notification when a purchase invoice needs approval, but this hasn't happened since 4th April, which seems a bit of a coincedence to me

We've checked the SMTP settings and they all appear correct because when we send a test email, we receive it

I've attached a screenshot of the error if that helps anyone. The error is showing 'sendasdenied' in there but as the test email was sent and received, am wondering if there's anything else we can check

We haven't done anything since the upgrade that could cause this, this was only brought to light a few days ago when finance were getting concerned because they weren't getting emails that they know they should have been

If anyone can suggest anything to try, or is having a similar issue, please can you let me know?

    Thanks but i don't think that will help us much as we're using the online version of Business Central. We have a support ticket open with MS so hopefully can get some assistance on this soon

    Are there any other things that you can advise we check?

    Right ok glad it's working for you now, we're using the online verion so we can't restart anything here

    It appears with the latest CU update, that NAV was trying to use the email from the notification entry table, when the “Sender User ID” field is not null.

    This explains the 'SendAs' error.

    Sorry for the delay in replying, yes we're also using O365 as our SMTP server

    The email issue was also happening with me as well and the email thing is that I was not being able to send or recieve the emails as the email portal outlook was not getting accessed. I have to face outlook 0x8004010f and after fixing the issue, I now can access the emails.

    Are you also using Office365 as your smtp server?

    Just wondering if that could be the issue and our upgrades could be a really strange coincidence?

    Thanks for replying, am beginning to wonder if this is some kind of bug now then. We've also raised a support ticket on this

    Interested to hear if others are also having the same issue as us

    I have just upgraded from CU12 to CU28 on NAV 2017 and have this exact issue.

    I am using Office365 as my SMTP server.
