Hi,
We are trying to find a way (through the interface) how to hide (or archive) old records.
When a user open the gird of the purchase requisitions, the grid shows first the old req and we need to scroll up each time, thousands of records. These requisitions are CLOSED and never used.

Have you tried enabling the new grid / view functionality that allows you filtering and illustrating forms as needed?

The grid/view I have enabled and tested in Sandbox, we are not ready to publish it, since communication should be sent and I noticed some bugs on it.
What I'm looking is not filtering after opening the grid, but having a smart filter for users when they open the grid, the old records are never shown.

Once you saved your filter as Default view, it becomes 'smart' :)

You can save this view so you can use as a default view:
You can also export this view (i.e. filter that you have created) and then import for users or security role so that other can have same view.

Please share how you save a filter (I'm not using the View), when I reload the page, the filter is reset and all the data is back.
Filters can be saved under a particular view.
Alireza already shared it with you. Please check it and find more detail by the URL I provided you with.
This I got, a business decision was taken to not enable the feature Saved view (not yest tested and need to send communication to users). Alireza's solution I'm using it in Sandbox, but in production, we are looking on a way how to save a filter (removing old data) without tis feature.
I think it is just not feasible without this feature

I would recommend to put effort in testing the Saved views feature. This feature is supported by Microsoft and would prevent the need for a customization.
