Hello,

I hope to explain this situation correctly but I wanted to know how we can track an item through production using the complete part qty ( 1 part= 100 die)  but explode the BOM (or part) to all the 100 die level (reduced per some scape) upon selling to the customer.   Basically, the customer is purchasing at the die level but we want production at the part level.

I don't need a complete solution but someone to steer me in the right direction.  We also have the hi-tech module but want to remove the module in the future and make the process simpler.

Your issue is not clear to me, why is a BOM explosion needed at sale?

What  problem do you have with tracking?

How do you/how do you want to hold and issue inventory by part, or by die? Do you sell parts also under a different item code from dies?

Is there any batch or serial tracing from part to die?

Instead of receiving parts, can you ramend the bom/prod order so as to receive the equivalent dies as by products?

From your  description it would seem to just need a UoM conversion on the sales order (e.g. you stock in packs but sell in pieces).

Does Part have a bom that has die as a component? If so, then you have to avoid a circular bom logic is you subsequently make a die from a part.
