Financial Transactions Smartlist Data not populating

The user is having issues with the Financial Transactions Smart List that worked last month. When they enter the needed account range (for example 6002-000-00-000-000 through 6002-999-99-999-999), they do not get any data. It just completes quickly. When they run it without any filter or by filtering for Main Account segment = 6002, they get data without issue. They have tried removing columns, changing the Account number column to return the account index (per a forum post they found) and that did not work. We have verified that they are using the standard/unmodified Smart List. They have tried refreshing their Cache, with no luck.  Has anyone seen this behavior before? They are on GP 2013 R2

Thanks!

    Nola,

Please go to smart list builder and select existing on the top and scroll down and check whether you can see accounts transactions smart list duplicated one with * at the end.  If this is the case then someone modified the original default smart list.  You need to delete the 2nd version and restart the smart list.  Please take a backup up of dynamics and company database.

Thanks for the reply. Would the * mean that it is modified? We only see it on the list once and they were unable to delete it.

The * means that it has been modified.  You should log into GP as either 'sa' or 'DYNSA' to delete it.

    Nola,

Do you see two smart list one with * and one without it while login as SA or DYNSA.  If you see only one without * then its original and no need for deletion.  Please run checklink against financial to make sure no record on GL has any issues.

No. We only saw one. That is where our confusion came in. Apparently, once you have a modified one with the *, it shows instead of the standard one. I suppose that makes sense so you don't choose the wrong one if more modifications need to be made. Once we deleted the one with the *, we were able to see the standard one and everything worked.
