Build environment deployed- no standard build definition created in DevOps

Hello everyone,

As I understood, when I deploy a new D365FO Build environment it should create a build definition for me in Azure DevOps.

I deployed one, but no new build definition was created.

I must admit that there was already an old build definition there ( from the time DEV machines in LCS could be used a build machines ).

Anyone know the reason why the build definition was not created?

When trying to run the "createdBuildDefinition" script I have too limited rights to execute it.

    Are you sure the build definition (build pipeline) is not created? Maybe you just don't see it.

    The default filter in the Build pipelines form is "Recent". Try to switch to "Folders" and you will see all pipelines. This filter is below the "Search all pipelines" box.

    Once you run the first build with your new pipeline you will see it in the Recent list.

    Also, if you already have a build definition with the same name (and the name has been the same since it was renamed to "unified operations") then it won't create a new one.

    Thank you for your responses.

    You were both right I guess. I renamed the old definitions (after discovering them by using the folder view) and then requested a new BUILD environment.
