Portal : Change fields on registration form

Hello,

is it possible to add/remove fields to the registration form on a portal? We're looking to remove the "username" field, because we would like to make user login with their e-mail address and maybe add a few fields too if possible.

Can this be done?

I know I can fill in the username field by running a workflow when creating a new contact, so that answers part of the question. But how do I remove this field from the registration form?

Thank you.

    Hi partner,

Actually it is possible to add/remove fields on portal registration form.

Go to Dynamics 365 portals->Site Settings, add a new record with name "Authentication/Registration/LocalLoginByEmail" and value "true".

And the username will be disappeared.

The reason is that setting "Authentication/Registration/LocalLoginByEmail" to True means we will disable the username in registration form and use email only.

Dynamics 365 provided many identities for portal authentication, please refer to this doc for more information.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/portals/configure/set-authentication-identity

And if you want to add more custom fields on registration form, you need to use JS code to do this, here's a blog for you.

    Hope it helps.

    Best Regards,

    Leo

Great! I'm not sure if we are supposed to continue the thread with more questions here. Any way for the user to sign up only by user name and not by email? Or even betterthe email not to be required?

    Thanks!
