Good morning,
I was curious if its possible to pull a list of customers that were marked Tax Exempt in GP from a previous year for a certain state?
I.e. - trying to locate which customers my company had marked Tax Exempt for the state of Maine for 2018-19.
The answer to the question will vary depending on how you plan to access the data.
If you are using the application interface - then via SmartList is the first choice. Then you need to look at the customer file, look for the Tax Status / Codes you use and determine which one indicates Exempt for Maine and then filter accordingly. You can break that down by filtering by state and then for exempt - you don't have to do that all in one filter.
If you are using SQL Management Studio, then you will again need to look at the Customer master and write the script to look for the Tax Detail / Schedule ID for Exempt and also filter for the State of Maine
Hope this helps you to get started. I can not provide the SQL Script, but Victori Yudin has a number of great examples if you need some assistance.
Thank you, Bill!
