Batch reservation is going to negative inventory when on-hand inventory exists on another batch

I have :-

5 pcs of Item A on batch B-01 with expiry date on 08/06/2023

8 pcs of Item A on batch B-02 with expiry date on 04/28/2024

Reservation is based on FEFO basis.

When a sales order is created for 7 pcs, instead of reserving 5 pcs of batch B-01 and 2 pcs of batch B-02, it reserves the entire batch B-01 for the 7 items taking it to negative -2. 

I do not want to disable negative physical inventory as the client requires this.

Below is a screenshot of my setup. As you can see, I have unchecked Same batch selection.

    Is that the actual item model group for the process that reserves negative inventory? That Item Model Group does not allow negative...

    In the Sales Order line details, can you confirm that the batch number is not selected?

    Yeah the negative inventory check box is ON. I accidentally posted the wrong image here.

    In the sales order line, the batch is automatically reserved as I have turned on auto-reserve when Sales order line is created.

    Hello Abdul,

    My experience with allowing negative inventory on Item Model Group is just like you are experiencing.  I dont know of any way to force reservation on on-hand inventory when "Negative Inventory" is enabled on the Item Model Group.
