Having an issue with "product description" not flowing to "field service" tab of invoice (product details) ... Test product and description created. Test product added to Work Order, description looks good. Work order converted to Invoice, description appears in product field. Drill into the product, and field service description is empty. This is the field needed to sync to quickbooks for us. How/Where can we access this field and verify that it is pointing to msdyn_description? Any help/insight is appreciated!
Not exactly as you suggested, but you lead me in the right direction... one small change to the default view of the Invoice Details Grid as well.. removed "description" added "Description(Work Order Product)" and got the desired results! We can now edit the description at will, and the invoice reflects the changes...thanks again
Thanks again, but no luck... for some reason the flow is not running.
Hi JHarvey,
Please change this table name to Invoice Products(Lines) to have a try in the following screenshot you provided.
Steve Zhao, Thank you for your help... The Power Automate Flow was created but did not succeed. I don't see that the Flow even ran... so, of course there is no description where it's needed
Steps taken: Create Flow, SAVE, click TEST...
Create work Order, post to create invoice...
I received this error when I refreshed on the invoice...
Error Details:
Event Name: onsave
Function Name: Mscrm.Form_onsave
Web Resource Name: Sales/InvoiceDetail/InvoiceDetail_main_system_library.js
Solution Name: msdynce_SalesPatch202001

There is no need to create a 'lookup' field. Invoice product(On my side, this is named invoice line) has 1:N relationship with invoice line detail entity.(You could check this in 1:N relationships)
.
What you need to do is create a power automate flow to update 'Description' on the Invoice Line entity.(Workflow doesn't support Invoice Line, so we have to use Power Automate).
Please set it like this:
Hi
You need to first create a relationship. I assume 1:1 based on some key that is unique. Then you can either create a business rule, flow, etc to populate the field.
Alternatively just create a flow that triggers on update of these lines as long as you have a way to know which record to update.

I've found the right fields... How can we create a relationship or "link" the two fields? I've read everything I can find on mapping and relationships, but we don't need or want a "lookup", we just need the data from the INVOICE LINE DETAILS entity field "msdyn_description" to populate in the INVOICE PRODUCTS "description" field.
