    Hi Sivakumar,

In what way is this question related to Dynamics AX? Do you want to move the file during a process execution of AX 2012? What exactly is 27 or 28 IP? File shares?

AX can handle Windows UNC paths without any problems. Create a network share, provide security access to the user accounts involved, and you are ready to go with any method of file writing (AsciiIO, CommaIO, System.IO.StreamWriter, etc) providing the network path using the fully qualified domain name, or the IP address.

The link or code would be as per any other AX file operation, just for the folder path you would use your network share path the same way if you would just browse there within Windows Explorer. I do not understand what you do not understand about UNC path network share. www.lifewire.com/unc-universal-naming-convention-818230

    HI Sukrut,

       Thanks for the reply.

The file which I want to copy is on another system, it is not in the same machine.

I want to copy file from another system(external machine) to my system.

In Ax we have this class "CatCatalogImportFile" can any one tell us the purpose of this.

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Regards

You must create a network share for the folder where the file exists on the source computer that you are copying it from. It is clearly explained in the links I have provided.

As for the second part of your latest post I would suggest opening a new thread, since it is off-topic.
