RE: Unable to start NAV Server Instance

    Yep! Yep, yep!

This is a .NET bug from original DVD (after version 2017 CU18)

After delete installed Freamework 4.5.2 problem is solved!!!  Thanx!

Pure Windows 7 x64 (on VitrualBox, of course) + .NET 4.7.2 + Dynamics NAV CU20

RE: Unable to start NAV Server Instance

It's a cumulative update bug, i think.  I have same problem with installing DEMOBASE from DVD.

Try to install NAV 2017 CU14 - 100% working on WORKGROUP (without AD & domains & change user rights & another shit).

Then just upgrading files from CU14 to CU17 (CU18, CU19) by "Repair" button in new setup.

I place second installer (CU17) in same CU14-folder ("C:\NAVDISTR\" for example) and "Repair" function working fast.

RE: Unable to start NAV Server Instance

    Hi,

At last, I used the IP Address of my computer (where all the layers are installed) on the "Database Server" on the NAV Instance and it started working.  I am able to use all the NAV 2013, R2, 2015 and 2016 by using the Server Name, but for NAV 2017...I don't know how!!!

Thanks a lot for all ur inputs.

Can you open your database with development IDE, if so try sycnchornization or create a new demo database using your sql backup and try connecting to that.

I reinstalled 3 times, still it didn't work.

Anyway, let me try with any other installer.

Thank you for the valuable inputs.

RE: Unable to start NAV Server Instance

It seems that something is wrong with the installation.

Now I tried the following steps:-

    1. I tried to connect a Demo DB of NAV 2016 with the above Server Instance.  It got connected.

    2. Then I tried opening the NAV 2016 demo DB with NAV 2017 Dev. IDE and click OK for the conversion confirmation dialog, immediately after the conversion, the Server Instance came to a halt :-|
