    Hi MKY,

You should install the same build on your local system.

    Hi MKY,

Did you or one of your colleagues convert the database? Do you know what happened to it exactly?

To find out how to apply cumulative updates please read this article: support.microsoft.com/.../how-to-install-a-microsoft-dynamics-nav-2016-cumulative-update

Message is clear that you are trying to open the db in older version or build which is already open in higher build. Download the required build and open db in that build

You can either install new build version in your local computer or you can just run it without installing.

Once you download the build version you need to extract files.

    Then open the below folder

    FilePath\NAV.BUILDVersion.DVD\RoleTailoredClient\program files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\90\RoleTailored Client\finsql.exe

This will open up the finsql which is the development environment.

As per the message, you need to upgrade your development environment to a newer version, since the database had been opened by a version with a higher build. Follow the suggestions of other members, download and install the later build to use with this database.

    HI MKY,

Did you try to do what Tharanga said?

You downloaded the cumulative update which is a file named similar to this: 493292_ENU_i386_zip.exe.
This includes the NAV DVD zip and a folder called application. Unzip the Nav DVD, open the extracted folder and go to \RoleTailoredClient\program files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\90\RoleTailored Client and run the finsql.exe.

You can also uninstall your current version and run the setup.exe from the DVD to install the new version.

    Regards,
    Marcell
