In the earlier versions of AX, there used be a rename option to rename the user defined status in the project management and accounting parameters. In the new AX, that option can no longer be seen. How do i rename the user defined field?

    Hi Sarang,

Is this the latest update 8, released in July 2017 as this feature came back in this release.

Here is the link with more details and information:

    Rename project stages

There are now 8 default project stages that can be used for the different project types. This feature provides the ability to give the default project stages a different name for each legal entity and provide language translation support for the project stage name.

To view or edit the project stage name, go to Project management and accounting > Setup > Project management and accounting parameters, and select the Project stage tab.

The Stage column will display the default project stage names. To rename, you need to enter the new project stage name in the Project stage column, and then select which project types the project stage applies.

To translate the project stage name to another language, simply click the Language drop-down button, and then select the language to translate.

    Hi Sarang Kusare,

    Rahul is correct.

In the latest D365fFOEE release, the so-called spring release, users can rename Project stages

If you are on an older version, you need to upgrade to the latest one.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Sarang,

I just checked the latest July update and noticed it was possible. Then I noticed your question had been answered already.

In older versions the label was changed by changing the objects of the application. As development and application are now separated, this was not possible until the new change.

If you are not able to move to the latest version, the change would be a customization of the labels. It is possible to use extensions of standard labels to not touch the standard application sources.
