How does the unbudgeted cost works under Project management and accounting>>Project>>All projects>>Control tab in the action pane>>Unbudgeted cost?
When will this be updated?
I'm using D365 Project management and accounting.

Hello marypeace,
I would expect that you posted some costs on the project for which no budget amount has been specified.
If you allow budget overruns and are not very restrictive with the amounts that can be posted then you can see those unbudgeted costs.
Another reason can be if you post transactions on a main node in your WBS, i.e. on a summary node for which no budget has been recorded, rather than on the individual task elements setup in the WBS.
