Removing time from the date field

Is there a way to completely remove the time stamp from the date format. I want users to only be able to select and view the date and not the time. The example below shows "07:00:00 AM". So I want to either hide it or customize it so it doesn't appear in the edit or view mode.

Hello,

I think it is not possible because it is UTC DateTime field and by default, it comes with DateTime.

Hello Durgi,

The reason for the fields being in this format is Employment records are date and time effective. This is also a field that cannot be customized.

Very dumb useless answers! If you don't know, say so! There are functions to remove the time...not just "it is the way it is"!!! Useless replies !!!

Please calm down, explaining what's possible and what's not is not useless; it's very important. Even if you dislike the answer. Offending people who are trying to help you isn't very wise.

They're right that you can't change the field, but if you want, you can hide the time in a particular form control. Date time controls have Display Option property that you can set to Date.
