How to active MailBox without credentials

Hello, 

I need to Enable all mailbox for 1000 users to use Microsoft 365 for Outlook application

when i want to enable and active the mailbox,  i have an error "If you do not provide the credentials, the email in this mailbox is not processed. To enable processing for this mailbox, add the credentials to the mailbox record."

but for 1000 final users its impossible to do that so  how can disable this option and enable mailbox without credentials.

Another question i have many CRM organizations how can i switch between organization in outlook application.

    Hello,

    You can do test & enable for all mailboxes without adding user's id and password in each mailbox as well to do so, you would need to use - "Credentials Specified in Email Server Profile" as authentication method in email server profile.

    If you select this option, the credentials specified in the email server profile are used for sending or receiving email for the mailboxes of all users and queues associated with this profile. The credentials must have impersonation or delegation permissions on the mailboxes associated with profile. This option requires some configuration on the email server, for example, configuring impersonation rights on Exchange for the mailboxes associated with the profile.

    Hi,

    Usually, we do not provide credentials inside the profiles, you need the service account which should have the comparison privileges over all the 1000 users which you need to configure and then bypass this step in CRM using server-side sync.

    The service account mailbox you have used should be the parent for all 1000 users.

    thanks for reply, i use Exchange online as server profil i don't have " Credentials Specified in Email Server Profile" in the config of server profil

    If you are using CRM Online + Exchange Online - Default email server profile then user's don't need to specify their credentials mailbox and Server side sync should work. I tested at my end and it works fine for me without providing any credentials -

    Does both CRM Online and Exchange online are in same tenant or different ? Is there any hybrid profile created or associated with user mailbox ?

    Can you try to login in Exchange online using same credential that you / user is using to access CRM online ? If yes, I would assume that they are in same tenant or you can also login in O365 admin portal and check, if Exchange listed there and accessible through portal.

    Yes they are in the same tenant, i have three crm instance, for the first one ist sandbox environnement i enabled my Mailbox without crededentials but for the others they are production environment i cannot enable my mailbox without user login and password

    If there are 3 CRM organizations in same instance then you would be able to use & sync only one CRM instance at a time with exchange online for Server side sync.

    Yes i know i can work with one instance  but i want for the instance in the prod environnement to enable mailbox without credentials, i test now to disable the mailbox in the sandbox instance and enable the mailbox for the production instance but i have always this error " Make sure that the credentials specified in the mailbox are correct and have sufficient permissions" error appears when testing and enabling a mailbox in Dynamics 365"  is there any possibilty to enable this mailbox without credentials. Thanks a lot

    Expected behavior is that user don't need to enter credentials when using CRM online + Exchange online for Server side sync but in your organization it's throwing an error which needs to be investigated so, I would request to you open a support ticket with us so that we can investigate it further to understand why it's failing and how we can resolve it.
