Posted on by 5,005

Hi ,

I have 2 custom entities .in  ABC entity once we give all values in field and saved . Fields will be locked . when qualified all fields will be locked and copied over to Xyz entity .

But now I don't want those fields to be in locked state . how to unlock those fields in a form

Any suggestions will be marked as verified

Thanks

    RE: Unlocking fields in form

    Hi Sandeep,

Reading the other posts I could not determine your scenario. How the fields are locked after a save command, I'm assuming that a custom script is performing this behavior. In this case, you should open the form properties and disable the event responsible for it.

Also, you said that values are copied from entity ABC to XYZ when the save button is pressed, so your customization could be more complex that I'm presuming. I recommend to you open a service request if you could not provide more details about your scenario.

In all case, please check this articles about topics involved in this discussion:

    Thanks,

    Sandeep,

You started from enabling fields and ended up with +button on the subgrid. This is confusing - what is your scenario?

    Hi Sandeep,

You can use Business Rules or JavaScript to lock and unlock fields based on a condition.
