D365FO License cost and MenuItems

Hi
The MenuItems has two properties regarding license: view and maintain user license. Before BP was not to use None, as this would count as Enterprise. 
Does the selection in D365FO still has an influence of the license cost?

    The license is different for viewing and maintaining.

    No, usually on MenuItems you add the same level for view and maintain.

    Hi Jan,
     
    None can be used and will not cause an enterprise license. You found the correct blog with explanation on how the license calculation works. 
    The view user license and maintain is not required to match each other. As of several years, all read-only access in F&O is considered to be a Team members license level. 
    For the maintain license, you would need to set the correct value. In case you create a new menu item for an existing form, you should follow the same license level as defined by Microsoft. In case you have a new entity which does not have a relation with the standard functionality, e.g. feature for a CD-collection, you can set it to become none or team members license. In the blog from Alex you can read that the minimum license access will be Team member anyway.
