Hello
We've recently had a few clients run into an issue when emailing AP Payment Remittances using Office 365. They are able to email 10-20 vendor remittances without issue, however if they try to send 200 emails, they will see 140 sent, and the remaining 60 emails have the status "Unknown Error Occurred" on the Remittance Exception Report.
I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this type of issue and what (if anything) can be done to resolve this issue? I saw some documentation on Office 365 where it defines some "Send" limits with email. Could we be reaching those limits?
The client is on GP 18.2, so we are considering upgrading them to GP 18.4 and turning on MFA to see if this clears up the problem.
Thanks - Ron
Hey Ron,
Based on your scenario, i believe this is a limitation of office. Please see the articles below.

Exchange Online limits - Service Descriptions | Microsoft Docs
For the ones that are giving an unknown error, this could be due to the limitation or something else. The message is generic and can mean a few things. If you try sending for a different accounts just one of the ones that gives an unknown error, does it go through? If yes, points to a limitation. If no, points to something else that would be causing the Unknown Error.
If it happens again, i would remove any Message ID's or Send Replies to that might be assign specifically to the Vendor and try again as these are the most common causes for an Unknown error when emailing. However, this can occur due to numerous other things.
Below is our link to our Email Troubleshooting guide that also provides information on the unknown error when emailing.

I hope this helps!
