Hello,
Is there a way to convert the FA into stock, in my case there are no depreciation transactions. only acquisitions.
thanks

Hi Naveen,
Not sure but why an FA needs to be converted to inventory given FA accounting has bigger impact on reportings. If you explain the business reason then it will be good for understanding for all and maybe a better solution can be suggested.
One more question, how was the FA acquisition entry posted? I am wondering if you posted FA acquisition through a journal, can that be reversed?

Hi Naveen,
Did I get this right that you want to have an already existing fixed asset transferred back into inventory?
In the first place did you use the inventory to fixed asset journal to post the acquisition?
Can you try scrapping the fixed asset then setup and post the item with the acquisition price e.g. by using an inventory movement journal that you post against a bridging account that is used when scrapping the fixed asset?
Alternatively, you can ask a developer making an adjustment to the inventory to fixed asset journal as it won't allow posting you negative quantities/amounts.
Hope this helps,
Ludwig
Create a Value model group with no depreciation but i think there is no way to convert FA into inventory.
