Hello Members,

I have an requirement in Reactivating a Case in Microsoft Dynamics CRM V9 online.

1) Once the Case table case record state code was set to cancelled, resolved
2) Then i perform reactivate case button then automatically state code is moving back to Active
3) Then status code is also going back to In Progress which is causing our back end process/flows to re trigger

I want some guidance if any one of you have tired this approach

1) If i reactivate case then state code should set to Reactivate instead of Active
2) Then i can perform status code field validation
I have the same question (0)

    Hi Partner,
    1. Case 'State code' can't be customizable, which is by-design.
--We can't edit original choices or add new choice(Reactivate)
2.Status code can be customizable, you can add one new choice.
--you mentioned:  status code is also going back to In Progress which is causing our back end process/flows to re trigger.
Is this process/flow triggered because the status code value is In progress?
If this is the case, you can set the new added choice as the Default choice, which will prevent the reactivated case from triggering the process by having a status value other than 'In Progress'.

    Hi Leah Ju,

We have setup status code as DRAFT as default value  where our business rule will identify draft status code based on validate and will convert to IN PROGRESS status code and then to trigger flows.

But my requirement is if we reactivate CASE then the state code is moving back to ACTIVE with status code IN PROGRESS

    Hi Partner,
You set 'Draft' as default choice under 'Active' state.
When you reactive one case, state code will be changed to 'Active' and status code will be default choice you selected, which is by-design.
Now, you want to show another status code(in progress) but don't want to change default choice(draft), Right?
If so, maybe you can try to create one workflow to change it automatically:
    Save and active the workflow.
    Test:

I hope you can verify my answer if it helps you! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

    Leah
