Hi To all,

I'm new to LS RETAIL and microsoft nav, My question is there a way for me to create third party application specifically PHP(Web Based) to create simple login(Username, Password) customer could use to see their points and other loyalty rewards.

I was able to connect  PHP and Nav and view particular information using web services (SOAP). But

for Login or Authentication is the hard part for me on how to do. Thank you

If you have any blog, code, or any resources to use please help me. Thank you

    Hi,

    1) Loyalty Web Portal is already available with LS Retail and you can see all the relevant functionalities available in standard.

Check Demo Version at following link.

    lsretail.cloudapp.net/loyalty.web

    2) In case, if you do not want standard functionality and need to build your own web page, I would suggest following.

    1) Create Staging Database (ex. LoyaltyWebDB) in SQL

    2) Create Loyalty Points Table

    3) Replicate the Points data from NAV "Member Point Entry" Table to Staging Database Loyalty Point Table on periodic basis

    4) Access LoyaltyWebDB with proper authentication and build the required Web Portal.

The reason of creating the separate database and table is to avoid having direct access to NAV database (over internet)  which can cause security & Performance related issues.

If you still want standard NAV Table, let us know.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Vishal Salot,

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I think your suggestion about create separate database and doing it for periodic basis is ok, But my concern we want a realtime points update. In this case periodic basis would be not good.

The concept of of our WebApp is

    1. customer login

    2. customer view points

    3. customer view voucher

Do you have any idea on how to login authentication works in LS RETAIL?

base on customer info and be able to see points? assuming customer is already in Ls Nav database. Thank you

    Refer this link.

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../dd339004(v=nav.90).aspx

You can create separate codeunit and publish to fetch the customer points from Member Point Entry Table.
