Foreign Currency Revaluation

Posted on by 476

Hi All,

When I run "Foreign Currency Revaluation"  system gives this error "The unit of 118.017.4653900000000000 PKR being posted to account 3206010030---- is outside the current penny rounding threshold".

How could a system erupts a figure with 2 decimals points.

Thanks & regards

SMA

I have resolved the above issue by changing the decimal places in the currency in the Setup >> Currency for the specified currency.

    Hello SMA,

A similar issue has been reported for rounding issues related to project related transactions

KB 2931595"The unit of XXXX XXX being posted to account XXXX --- is outside the current penny rounding threshold" error when project invoice rounding

If you have no adjustment - as Andre mentioned - and cannot find any other solution, I would recommend to contact the MS support to help you.

Would be great if you could keep us updated here how things are proceeding.

    Many thanks and best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi SMA,

Is the currency PKR having 2 decimals? In that case the database value of some accounting entries are wrong. This is sometimes caused by an incorrect customization where values are calculated but not rounded correctly.

Can you verifiy if you have a customization? Otherwise it might be caused by a bug in the standard.

To find out the culprit you can search all incorrect entries and look at the posting type.

Note that the values needs to be corrected in the database which might be a bit dangerous job as it will change posted transactions. These wrong roundings will also block the year-end close job.
