Where is Resource scheduling optimization for Field Service?

Hello,

I am trying to find out how to enable and use the new Resource scheduling optimization for Field Service feature but I cannot find this anywhere! Can someone help with this please?

According to the Microsoft features FAQ page (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics/crm-customer-center/dynamics-365-online-vs-on-premises-features-faq.aspx#BKMK_2016Update1) the feature was included in the December update to Dynamics 365 which I believe relates to the version 8.2.0.561 which is the version my new trial has (created this morning).

I have enabled the Field Service Trial and configured it but cannot find any documentation or settings to show me how to actually USE the feature or if it even exists in the solution.

My understanding is that Resource scheduling optimization (RSO) is an add in for Field Service. I don't believe it is part of the current Field Service trial, I suspect you need the full version of Field Service. (But I could be wrong.) I believe there is an additional cost per RSO user although I am not sure of the monthly costs.

Thanks Neil. The link you provided here walks through how to add the feature and while it isn't an option in my current trial it may appear shortly with the next update.

I beleive you need a Plan One licence to use the RSO.

1 License/Resource is consumed.

If you have 10 Field Service Reps you will need 10 RSO licenses.

Hi Diego,

This is not available in Trial Instances as free you need to purchase RSO Addon and cost is $30/user/month also you should have atleast 1 purchased D365 Enterperise Edition license.
