Dear All,

I have Microsoft Dynamics 365 on-prem, ADFS, and Exchange Server 2019.

I can integrate Microsoft Dynamics 365 on-prem with ADFS. It works both for web login and for the Dynamics mobile app.

For integrating btw Dynnamisc 365 on-prem and Microsoft Exchange Server 2019. It can feed and synch email through Dynamics and so on.

But I have some issues with “Dynamics 356 App for Outlook” (Modern Plug-in) and It can't connect to the exchange server via  “Dynamics 356 App for Outlook” on both Microsoft Outlook and OWA.

Can you help to advice what has to be done? it is great if you can share the link for configuration guide.

Thx
Rin

    Hi there!

Apologies if you've already tried these. Here are some steps:

    • Pre-requisite check

      • Verify that OAuth is enabled on Microsoft Exchange. The Dynamics 365 App for Outlook uses Exchange Web Services (EWS) and requires OAuth for authentication.

      • Ensure that Internet Explorer 11 is installed and enabled on Windows clients, even if it's not the default browser.

    • Server side synchronization set up

      • Go to Settings > Advanced Settings.

      • Navigate to Settings > Administration > System Settings.

      • Select the Email tab and set Process Email Using to Server-Side Synchronization.

    • Test Email Configuration & Enable Mailboxes

      • Go to Settings > Advanced Settings.

      • Navigate to Settings > Email Configuration > Mailboxes.

      • Select the mailboxes you want to test and enable.

      • Click APPROVE EMAIL and then TEST & ENABLE MAILBOX.

    • Verify Configuration

      • Open the mailbox that you tested in the previous step.

      • Ensure the configuration test results show Success.

    hope this helps!

    Dear Holly Huffman ,

Thank you so much so much for your valuable time.

Yes, we have followed the instruction guide, and the same as what you have shared. It syncs and tracking email on Microsoft Dynamics Web Portal and able to connected with Microsoft Dynamics for Mobile.

I have the problem only when I try to use the "Dynamics 356 App for Outlook” with the below error screen on the Outlook client or OWA with the attached file.
