Intercompany accounting and posting layers

Hi All,


I am trying to post an intercompany transaction using a journal that posts to the "Operations" layer. It works fine in company A, however, the in Company B the transaction that is created by the system uses a different journal name (the interco journal), which is set up to default to the "Current" layer.  Basically, we want this transaction to post the the "operations" layer in both Company A and Company B. How can I achieve this using the intercompany functionality in AX 2012 R2?

    Hi,

    To have the transactions on the same posting layer, the journal setup for intercompany accounting should have the same posting layer setup. Probably you can change the setting to choose another journal before posting, but this might be cumbersome.

    You can also create a customization to be able to setup multiple journals per posting layer.

    this is not possible out of the box. You would have to do a customization to default the same posting layer as of originating journal or a customization to use a same journal name as of originating company (with correct posting layer defined in the Journal name form);  

    As your dev to take a look at LedgerJournalCheckPost\updateInterCompanyJournal
