Yes/No field format in main form

I am a novice in Dynamics CRM and I want to have a simple yes/no field with the default as No.  Doing a two-option field will do this but in the form, the field is initially blank and the user has to access it where he/she will only see the "no" and has to click again to see a yes.    This seems counter-intuitive.   It would help if the default were on display initially and then could be changed to Yes.

Is there a way to make this more usable to "limited" users?   A check box would be perfect but my research indicates that this may be above my skill level.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

    Hi partner,

    This is a known issue.

I would recommend you do not use 'Flip - Switch' control for the time being.

I had a delay in implementing this change - I was going for the flip-switch option.

I found when I made the change, the control looked fine in the form, but when the "No" default was changed to a "Yes",  the save button didn't change to "Unsaved Changes" and allow me to save them.   The control would always remain "No".

Any ideas why a change in the field won't register as a change on the form to be able to save it?

    Thanks!

To add to it, existing records only will show it as blank whereas new records will take up the default value even if you keep the classic Yes/No field.

    Hi partner,

Don't forget to mark the verified answer by clicking Yes.

    Hi partner,

I am sharing a control here.

If you have a two-option field, you can enable the 'Flip - Switch' control to make it as straightforward as a switch.

There is a two-option field ‘test’ on my form. Open its field properties, under the Controls tab, click ‘Add Control’.

Click 'Flip - Switch' and click Add. Select its Web and Tablet, click OK. Finally save and publish the form.

    Hi partner,

The two options field must have a value on the form at all times, that is, it initially displays the default value instead of being blank, and you don't need to click it to get the value.

Depending on your needs, you want a Yes/No field that initially displays the default value and is a checkbox.

In this case, use the option set field to meet your requirements.

As shown, create a new field with the Data Type as the Option Set, click ‘+’ to add two options No and Yes, and select the default value of No.

The effect is as follows. When I create a new record, I don't click on any fields, it shows 'No' by default.
