Retrospectively adjust inventory ageing

Hi,

I'm migrating inventory into D365 finance and operations using inventory adjustment journals but the inventory needs to come in saged (i.e. the physical date needs to be in the past). Is there a way to do this in such a way that the financial postings are as at the posting date while the inventory physical dates are the historic ones. The purpose of this is so that the inventory ageing reports will include historical dates of aged inventory. What is the best way to achieve this?

    Mteejay,

    Your initial solution is not possible unless you utilize an extension.

    Historically, we've used inventory movement journals to import aging inventory from a prior ERP system, using offset accounts in a manner where we can point it to a cutover account or another GL account meant for migration.
