How to export-import specific modules

Hi All,

I would like to ask you if there is possible way to export-import specific modules with it's whole data and transactions from Test to Live environment

For example : I want to restore the HR and payroll modules from a previous backup and put it on the live environment , in the same time i don't want to affect on the rest modules such as Finance and procurement.

You can't reasonably do it. There are many problems, such as:

What if you, for example, import a posted payroll journal without having corresponding data in accounting created when the journal was posted?

What if your HR/payroll data refer to data in other modules that don't exist in the target system?

What's you definition of HR and payroll modules for this particular scenario, i.e. which tables should be included and which excluded?

These problems don't disappear - you have to address them.

Stop thinking about the vague concept of modules and identify the particular entities you need.
