Is it possible to create a Dashboard only showing data from a single Account?

Hi,

Our Sales Department is asking for a Dashboard that is only showing information about a single Account in CRM. Is this possible, in either 2011 or 2013?

A Google search didn't really help me, so i thought, why not ask the experts...

The Sales people would like to select an Account through a searchable field and then get an overview of this Account in the Dashboard functionality. So they can see All Related Appointments, List of important Contacts, maybe Opportunities and all that stuff, just in a Dashboard and for a single Account.

I really hope that it is possible and that some one can guide me in the right direction on how to do it?

Kind Regards

Christian

    Hi Christian

I would recommend creating a new form on the Account entity and then adding the relevant charts to the new form.  This way you can then search an Account as normal and once it is opened you can select the new form to display the charts required.

See below link which should help you construct this (approach 4).

    Thanks

    Hi Christian,

You may create record centric dashboards using role-based forms. The main form shall be used to normal sale operations and the second form shall be used as a dashboard with charts, subgrid, and quick view forms (CRM 2013).

Below link, explain how you could build record centric dashboards in CRM 2011.

In this approach, your sales person shall search and open as a normal record. Once they are on the main form, they could switch to dashboard form to view all related appointments, list of contacts, opportunities and so on.

Below link, explain how you could create role based forms in CRM 2011.

    Hi Balamurali,

    Thank you for your suggestion!

It didn't really answer my question, unless you mean that this is the only solution for making something that seems like a CRM Dashboard for a single Account?

I see your suggestion as a work around, if it's not possible to create a Dashboard (In the normal Dashboard View) that shows data from a single Account?

    Kind Regards

    Christian

    Hi Christian,

I’m afraid the feature to link two chart components are not there in the CRM out-of-box dashboard.

The above is an alternative approach to achieve it. You could also consider the 3rd party solution or Power View like

    Power View Option

    Hi again,

    Thank you for the update.

I will see if I can come up with a solution from what you have given me, that our Sales people can accept.
